SeaRoc to Speak at Offshore Wind Technology Conference (UK)

Marine engineering company SeaRoc, part of the Natural Power group, will be speaking on the second day of the Offshore Wind Technology conference, hosted by The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

The session, entitled, “Building the next generation of wind farms”, will be taking place on Tuesday 13 December in the Lakeside Centre in Birmingham.

Dominic Stratton, SeaPlanner GIS Manager at SeaRoc, will discuss, “The past, present and future challenges of monitoring offshore wind farm operations” which will focus primarily on the design and development of web-based management tools, such as the modular suite, SeaPlanner. The case study will show how the ground-breaking software is being used by developers from the first survey and throughout the lifecycle of the project. It will demonstrate how SeaPlanner is being used to increase the efficiency and safety of offshore projects.

The Offshore Wind Technology conference is aimed at experts working on the latest technical innovations within offshore technology, and will update delegates on areas such as grid technologies, offshore foundations and structures and cost reduction strategies. The conference programme is available to view on the IET conference website.
