UK: Residents Fear Atlantic Array’s Impact on Tourism

Opponents of the Atlantic Array offshore wind farm are calling for people to have their say about the project by tomorrow, claiming that it would have major impact on tourism.

This is South Wales news portal quotes Carl Johnson of Rhossili as saying that RWE had minimized the visual impact of the turbines and that the visitors who come for the open seascapes and landscapes may not keep coming back. According to Mr. Johnson, majority of people in the village are against the Atlantic Array.

On the other hand, a spokesman from RWE said that, based on surveys, impact on tourism was insignificant and that 89% of people would not be discouraged by the Atlantic Array to visit the area.
