Eldepasco Announces Tender for New Wind Farm Construction (Belgium)

Eldepasco invites tender in negotiated procedure for offshore wind farm construction. The contract includes the design, supply, construction and commissioning of the electrical infrastructure of the offshore wind farm Eldepasco.

This excludes the placement of the OHVS functioning and the onshore and offshore power cables and 33 KV infield cables. The wind farm Eldepasco is located approximately 40 km from Zeebrugge, Belgium at the Bank Zonder Naam. The wind farm will consist of 72 wind turbines with a capacity of 3 MW respectively, making a total installed capacity of up to 216 MW (240 MVA) that must be connected to the 150 kV network Elia Zeebrugge; The contract includes the design, supply, construction and commissioning of the electrical infrastructure of the Offshore Wind Park Belwind 2. This excludes the placement ofthe OHVS foundation, as well as onshore and offshore power cables and 33 KV infield cables.

The Windturbinepark Belwind 2 is approximately 50 km from Zeebrugge, Belgium on Bligh Bank. The Wind Park will consist of 55 wind turbines with a capacity of 3 MW, respectively, resulting in a total installed capacity of up to 165 MW (183 MVA) connected on the 150 kV network Elia Zeebrugge.

Eldepasco is the name of a new windfarm in the NorthSea, situated about 37 kilometers off the Belgiancoast. The federal government granted the domain concession for this prestigious project mid 2006. Currently, the project is well under way (engineering,  nancing,…). Building work can start from 2011.

Eldepasco is named after the 4 initiators: ELectrawinds,DEPret, ASpiravi and COlruyt (WE-Power). Each of these project partners has been active in the renewable energy sector for several years.
