September Debut for Scandinavia’s Largest Offshore Wind Farm

Vattenfall will inaugurate the 604 MW Kriegers Flak offshore wind farm on 6 September at Geocenter Møns Klint, Denmark.

Kriegers Flak is Denmark’s and Scandinavia’s largest offshore wind farm.

It increases Danish electricity production from wind turbines by about 16 per cent and will cover the annual electricity consumption of approximately 600,000 Danish households, Vattenfall said.

The wind farm comprises 72 Siemens Gamesa 8.4 MW offshore wind turbines installed in the Baltic Sea some 15-40 kilometres off the Danish coast.
