Located in the north side of Hangzhou Bay some 12 kilometres off the coast, the 400MW Fengxian offshore wind farm comprises four blocks. This tender covers the two eastern blocks.

The plans were revealed in the recently issued Shanghai Offshore Wind Power Construction Plan 2019, and the Competitive Work Plan for Fengxian Offshore Wind Power Project.

The Shanghai Electric Power Company has also issued relevant opinions on the project’s grid connection.

Shanghai Investment Consulting and Shanghai Exploration and Design have completed the wind measurement and the pre-feasibility studies for the site.

According to the results of the wind measurements, the site area has an annual average wind speed of about 7.2 m/s at the height of 95 metres, and the annual average wind power density of about 349.16W/m2. The wind power density is at Level 3.
