Three Companies Shortlisted for Danish Nearshore

Danish Energy Agency (ENS) has shortlisted three companies to participate in upcoming 350 MW nearshore tender.

Out of five applicants, WPD Hofor joint venture, European Energy Nearshore Consortium and Vattenfall met the certain technical and financial requirements.

Since the future wind farms are smaller than Horns Rev 3, the requirements in some areas were lowered in order to attract new bidders.

The nearshore wind tender is divided into six areas with a maximum capacity of 200MW for each project, except off Bornholm which is limited to 50 MW.

The tender will be closed in the spring of 2016, and the wind farms are to be completed in 2020.
