All-Energy 2014 Gathering in a Month

With a month to go before All-Energy 2014, the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference, opens in Aberdeen (Wednesday 21- Thursday 22 May) the international renewables community is busy making its travel plans.

All-Energy 2014 Gathering in a Month“All-Energy really brings the global world of renewables together,” says Event Director, Jonathan Heastie of Reed Exhibitions. With exhibitors from 20 countries, speakers from 14 countries– including our opening plenary session speaker Bader Saeed Al Lamki, Director of Masdar Clean Energy, and UK Trade & Investment alone bringing in country experts from at least 17 countries, we have marvellous international representation at this year’s event.

“Four EU initiatives the Atlantic Power Cluster, ERA-NET, ENSEA – European North Sea Energy Alliance and HARVEST Atlantic will also be covered in the conference. The Atlantic Power Cluster is also organising a seminar as one of the programme of associated events which take place on 20 May, the day before All-Energy opens.”

He believes that “Great Debate” at lunchtime on opening day with Fergus Ewing and Tom Greatrex MP, the UK’s Shadow Energy Minister, debating the energy implications of an independent Scotland – chaired by Professor Sir Jim McDonald Principal and Vice Chancellor of the University of Strathclyde,” will attract a lot of attention.

All-Energy is held in association with RenewableUK, Scottish Renewables, AREG – Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and UK Trade & Investment.  It is supported by some 30 government departments, trade associations and professional bodies throughout the UK.
