New Jersey Congressman to Hold Keynote Session at Energy Ocean Conference

The Energy Ocean Conference and Exhibition, which will be held June 3-5, 2014 at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is the leading event for the offshore renewable energy industry, covering developments in wind, wave and tidal energy.

In his Keynote session “A Two-Pronged Approach – Government and Industry Taking the Conversation Forward”, Congressman Pallone will provide an update on current initiatives in the House of Representatives that are promoting offshore renewables, as well as what role the industry will play in the advancement of government support of a more sustainable future in offshore renewable energy.

Representing the sixth district of New Jersey, Congressman Pallone is a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Natural Resources Committee. He has been instrumental in promoting the business, technology, and environmental safety of the energy sector. In this keynote address, Congressman Pallone will share his insights on how government organizations and private industry can influence the future growth of wind, wave and tidal energy in the U.S.

Representing central New Jersey in Congress since 1988, Pallone holds an important leadership position within the House Democratic Caucus. As the Communications Chair of the Democratic Policy Committee, the Congressman plays an active role in developing and implementing the Democratic Party’s message. In this capacity, Pallone coordinates the party’s message on the floor of the House of Representatives.
