UK: Navitus Bay to Hold Informal Drop-In Sessions

Navitus Bay is to hold a series of drop-in sessions in January 2014, in order to give the public the chance to meet the project team and learn more about the next stage of the project.

As the developer works towards submitting its application for planning consent in early 2014, members of the project team will be using the forthcoming drop-in sessions to answer any questions people have about the proposed wind park.

If granted planning permission the offshore wind park would be located off the Dorset and Hampshire coasts, to the West of the Isle of Wight, and would generate enough low carbon electricity to power around 790,000 homes each year.

Mike Unsworth, Project Director of Navitus Bay, said:

“Navitus Bay is committed to ensuring that residents have as much information as possible about the proposed wind park, which will deliver significant economic benefits to the local community.

“Since 2010 we have been carrying out comprehensive consultation with the community, and we would like this spirit of consultation to continue in 2014. For this reason, we are holding another series of drop-in surgeries to give the public chance to meet the project team and learn more about the next stage of the project.”
