UK: Carmarthenshire Approves Atlantic Array, but Questions Its Landscape Impact

Carmarthenshire Council’s Planning Committee yesterday approved the proposed Atlantic Array Offshore Wind Farm, which is to be built about 22 miles off the Carmarthenshire coast.

The Committee does not object in principle to the Atlantic Array Offshore Wind Farm, however, the impact on tourism and landscape is questionable.

Tomorrow, Swansea Council Planning Committee is scheduled to meet and discuss its response to the proposed project, This is South Wales news site informs.

The Atlantic Array project is still under a consultation period and it will have to be considered by the National Infrastructure Directorate and approved by Westminster.
