UK: Leader of Isle of Wight Council Says Less Wind and More Tidal Power

Cllr David Pugh, the Leader of the Isle of Wight Council and a Director of the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, says that the Isle of Wight should harness its tidal power not the wind power.

In his blog, Mr. Pugh welcomes the UK’s second Marine Energy Park announcement, and hopes that the Isle of Wight will become the third such location.

The Isle of Wight Council aims to be energy self-sufficient within a decade.
