UK: Vattenfall Goes Before Holyrood's Energy Committee

As the Press Association writes, Swedish energy firm Vattenfall went before Holyrood’s Energy Committee yesterday alongside Burcote Wind, Renewable energy Consultants Ltd and Scottish Power, to talk wind power.

Vattenfall is one of the companies behind the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre. The companies are planning to install 11 wind turbines off Aberdeen Bay which will be seen from Trump’s new golf course.

Trump has already appeared before the Energy Committee with his evidence against the wind turbines.

In its written submission to the committee, Vattenfall stated that the Scottish planning process poses the biggest potential risk to investment.

The company also mentioned EOWDC would “prove strategically important to the success of Scotland’s offshore wind sector”.
