Guangzhou Salvage Bureau, Rich Tech Team Up for Offshore Wind

Guangzhou Salvage Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Transport and Rich Offshore (Rich Tech) signed an agreement on 30 December 2016, under which the two parties will set up an offshore wind joint venture.

According to Guangzhou Salvage Bureau, the joint venture will be a player in the offshore wind project construction and EPCI contracting market, with the two companies aiming to build first-class engineering and technical teams that will jointly develop offshore wind power projects under the prerequisite of fulfilling the duties of national marine emergency rescue and salvage tasks.

Guangzhou Salvage Bureau further said it has a professional marine engineering construction team and a number of large-scale offshore construction vessels, along with many years of experience in offshore construction.

Rich Offshore specialises in offshore wind technology design, consulting and engineering services, with independent offshore wind power technology patents. The company has been involved in a number of offshore wind power projects at home and abroad by providing technical design and professional construction services.
