The project, developed by China Huadian Corporation, will feature 37 MySE6.8-158 turbines and 30 MySE8.3-180 turbines.

The Yangjiang Qingzhou III offshore wind farm will also comprise one 220 kV offshore substation, from which the power generated by the wind turbines will be transferred to land.

The offshore wind farm, located off the coast of Yangjiang City, will supply enough electricity to power the equivalent of more than 665,000 households per year, according to MingYang.

The wind turbine supplier was also recently selected by China Three Gorges (CTG) to deliver wind turbines for the Xinghua Bay II wind farm off the coast of Xinghua Bay North, Fujian province.

The CTG wind farm will feature typhoon-class MySE 8.0-180 wind turbines.
