The contractor will be responsible for providing HEMS for rescuing offshore personnel in connection with the operation of the offshore wind farms.

The rescue concept includes both the aeronautical and the medical component, as well as a rescue coordination center for the coordination of the rescue operations.

Work will begin on 1 April 2020 and end on 31 March 2022, while the contract has an option to be renewed twice for one year.

The deadline for submitting applications for the tender is 26 December 2019 by 18:00 CET.

Riffgat comprises 30 Siemens SWT-3.6-120 turbines located 15km to the north-west of the island of Borkum. The 108MW offshore wind farm was built by EWE in 2013.

Alpha Ventus features 6 Senvion and 6 Areva 5MW turbines. The 60MW wind farm started generating power in August 2009 and was fully commissioned in April 2010.
