A meteorological mast is shortly to be installed at the West of Duddon Sands (WoDS) Wind Farm.
GEOSEA’s self-propelled jack-up ‘Innovation’ started carrying out the installation on Wednesday, 4th of June.
The vessel will be on site for approximately 6 days, depending on weather.
West of Duddon Sands Wind Farm is located 14 kilometres southwest of Walney Island, off the coast of Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria.
The wind farm is being developed by Morecambe Wind Ltd, a partnership between Scottish Power, Dong Energy and Eurus Energy.
Comprising 108 wind turbines, with total capacity of 389 MW, it will produce enough renewable electricity to power 300,000 UK households.
