Great Support for Future Wind Turbines Offshore Maryland (USA)

Gov. Martin O’Malley is getting a lot of support for his incentive to erect wind turbines offshore Maryland’s coast.

Former Iowa Gov. Chet Culver came on Tuesday to Annapolis to testify in support of O’Malley’s offshore wind bill. He said that wind turbines in Iowa have helped stabilize electricity costs and have created 4,300 jobs, reports The Baltimore Sun.

We were in a similar position to Maryland a generation ago,” said Culver.

Maryland holds tremendous energy sources off its coast, with the stronger and much steadier wind than in Iowa.
