A British diver died while conducting underwater maintenance work at a German offshore wind farm, Alpha Ventus, writes the Scotsman.

According to a report, the 48-year-old diver suffered a heart attack while carrying out repairs at a depth of about 2 metres at a wind turbine’s foundation.

This is the third fatal incident at German offshore wind farms in two years.

Alpha Ventus contains 12 turbines with total capacity of 60 MW located in the North Sea, 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of the island of Borkum.
