Underwater noise seminars detail page

The European Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) sets out to achieve Good Environmental Status (GES) of our seas, for which noise pollution will need to be addressed. Noise pollution is also increasingly requiring investigation within Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) at the permitting stage. At these free events, HR Wallingford’s newly developed tools for addressing the challenges posed by underwater noise will be explored; along with the current understanding of potential impacts on marine life.
