TenneT Charters IWS Newbuild CSOV

Business & Finance

The Norwegian company Integrated Wind Solutions (IWS) has, through its subsidiary IWS Fleet AS, entered into a time charter contract for a commissioning service operations vessel (CSOV) at market terms with the Dutch transmission system operator (TSO) TenneT.

The charter contract has a minimum duration of four months and will commence after the vessel IWS Windwalker has been delivered from the shipyard and sailed to Europe.

“We are pleased to announce our first charter contract with TenneT for our second vessel, the IWS Windwalker. The vessel will support maintenance for offshore substations in the Netherlands, demonstrating the ability of the Skywalker class to cover a range of requirements within offshore wind,” said Christopher Andersen Heidenreich, COO and Managing Director of IWS Fleet.

The company currently has one CSOV in its fleet, the IWS Skywalker, which was delivered to IWS at the end of last year.

The IWS Windwalker is a Skywalker-class vessel, built by China Merchants Heavy Industry (CHMI). The vessel was designed by Kongsberg Maritime and is equipped with a fully compensated gangway and crane from MacGregor.
