Offshore Wind Expands Manor Renewable Energy

After recently signing several contracts for offshore wind projects, Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) is expanding its teams both in the UK and across Northern Europe, and plans to surpass 100 staff by Q3 2017.

The company said it aims to become one of the leading names in the UK supply chain and the key offshore renewables employer on the South Coast.

Also, MRE has recently moved to two larger offices and storage facilities, from where the logistics arm of the business will be developed, both with regard to ongoing projects and the company’s new wind farm service vessel, the Manor Venture.

The new 26m vessel hit the water for the first time earlier this month. The Manor Venture was built by the Manor Marine shipyard in Portland, Dorset and is scheduled to spend the majority of 2017 on the Galloper offshore wind farm for Siemens.

MRE’s most recent work in the offshore wind sector includes, amongst others, the supply of temporary power pods to DONG Energy’s Gode Wind offshore wind project in Germany.
