On Saturday 29 December 2012, the substation for Northwind Offshore Wind Park has arrived at Bladt’s facilities in Aalborg. The substation has been pre-fabricated by a subcontractor in Poland and after a long journey from Poland to Northern Denmark, it arrived in two sections – ready to be assembled and outfitted.
Of the two sections the top section with its 309 tonnes was the largest section Bladt has ever lifted onshore by crane. The two sections were assembled with success during the Saturday, and the substation is now ready to be fitted with electrical equipment and various other types of equipment.
