After securing and successfully completing two major cable projects in the Irish Sea, and a further fault investigation on an Interconnector underway, the joint venture of Osiris Marine Services and Nordic Offshore Marine look to the spot charter market to provide a cost effective solution to subsea cable owners requiring burial, de-burial or repair.

On-board the DP1 cable repair barge is Reef Subsea Dredging & Excavation’s (formerly Rotech Subsea) T4000 burial/de-burial spread. This versatile and proven solution helps reduce overall project associated costs in relation to IMR activities as well as mitigating against the risks around sensitive infrastructure like power cables using the non-contact method of excavation.

Luke Ansell, the Business Development Manager at Osiris Marine Services, said: “The Atlantis has a maximum draft of 2.4m and she can bottom out. So that coupled with the versatility of our offshore spread means we are in the position to offer Diving, ROV, Cable repair and trenching solutions where other vessels can’t.”

Faisel Chaudry, Head of Business Development at Reef Subsea Dredging & Excavation added: “We have built up a successful track record of projects working with Osiris Marine Services and Nordic Offshore Marine by being able to provide an extremely cost-effective and productive solution, testament to this has been our recent involvement in both of Osiris’s high profile inter-connector cable projects.”
