Teesside Wind Farm Construction Bothers Locals (UK)

Shortly after the construction work commenced on EDF Energy’s Teesside Wind Farm, they faced a problem.

Constant banging of the hydraulic hammer that is driving monopiles into the seabed is bothering locals, reports Gazette Live.

Some of residents said that the banging sound could be heard in their homes and even in the town centre.

EDF apologized and said that they were working hard to minimize any disturbance. The company noted that they are working within formal noise limits set by the Department of Energy and Climate Change that are being continuously monitored.
