Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has agreed to acquire a 50 per cent stake in Norwegian offshore recruitment and crewing company OffshoreCrew AS.
Headquartered in Kristiansand, OffshoreCrew provides recruitment, staffing and crew management services to the offshore and maritime sectors, including offshore wind, oil and gas, and subsea operations.
The company has an in-house database of around 30,000 offshore professionals and supplies personnel for offshore vessels and projects.
BSM said the investment will expand its offshore crew solutions, allowing it to provide individual specialists such as dynamic positioning operators and crane operators across a wider range of offshore unit types. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The partnership will combine OffshoreCrew’s recruitment and staffing services with BSM’s crew and technical management capabilities, allowing customers to access services ranging from recruitment and staffing to crew management and full technical management.
BSM has been active in the offshore wind sector for more than a decade. In 2018, the company established a dedicated offshore unit covering the oil and gas and offshore wind energy markets, with services including technical and crew management, newbuild supervision, fleet maintenance and repair.
The company has also continued to expand its offshore wind vessel fleet. In July 2026, Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BSO) took delivery of the fourth and final CSOV in its latest newbuild series, bringing its total offshore fleet to seven vessels. Windea Clarke was set to begin its first seasonal charter on a UK offshore wind project.
BSM’s offshore wind fleet includes SOVs and CSOVs supporting projects in the North Sea. Its Windea Curie CSOV, delivered in 2025, began operations for transmission system operator TenneT in the North Sea, while the company’s Windea Leibniz was upgraded to a CSOV to support offshore wind projects in the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
