Team Humber Marine Alliance (THMA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Virginia Offshore Wind Coalition (VOW).
Under the MoU, the parities agree on future mutual collaboration and sharing of information regarding the development of offshore wind resources along the Mid-Atlantic coastline and its supply chain industries.
Key amongst discussion topics is a goal of promoting the interests and enhancing the commercial opportunities available to THMA members. This will include developing an understanding of the offshore wind value chain, facilitating member introductions, organising USA/UK webinars as well as market visits and trade missions.
THMA recently hosted visitors from the Virginia Offshore Wind Coalition, who toured a number of Humber facilities and participated in the event “Doing Business in the USA Offshore Wind”, held at the Hallmark Hotel in North Ferriby.
This follows the news from 3 December , when THMA announced it will lead a Northern Powerhouse offshore wind-focused mission to the USA in March 2016, in partnership with UK Trade & Investment.
