Mainstream in Sales Talks over Neart na Gaoithe
Mainstream Renewable Power has decided to divest its stake in a North Sea wind farm.
According to the Irish media, Dublin-based offshore wind farm developer is in talks with InterGen and Siemens Project Ventures to sell its 450 MW Neart na Gaoithe.
This would be InterGen’s first investment in the offshore wind sector.
Neart na Gaoithe, one of only two offshore wind farms awarded a CfD by the UK government in February, is expected to be completed by 2020.
Last year, Mainstream selected Siemens as preferred supplier. According to the company, Siemens will deliver its SWT-6.0-154 wind turbines for the 450MW project.
