40SouthEnergy has begun to work on the deployment of the R115 wave energy device at Punta Righini, Italy.
On September 23, the company positioned two guiding buoys for the Meloria pontoon, which traveled the next day from Livorno to Punta Righini, where it was positioned. After the company carried out all the activities envisaged for yesterday, it announced that it will resume with the further work this morning so as to install the mooring system of the first R115 machine.
Punta Righini Wave Energy Park is located approximately 1.5Nm offshore Castiglioncello, Tuscany. It will comprise up to four R115 Wave Energy Converters.
