The Netherlands: Meindert van Genderen (Eneco) will be Conference Chairman at “Offshore Wind Installation and Maintenance 2011”

Meindert van Genderen, interim director of the Princess Amalia wind park which is co-owned by Eneco (share of 50%), will be the chairman at the conference “Offshore Wind Installation and Maintenance 2011”. As such, he will also open the conference with a short statement.

Eneco has a wind portfolio of over 2500 MW and is also involved in other forms of sustainable energy: Eneco has committed itself to a target of 20% sustainable electricity generation in 2012. Partly due to this objective, in 2010 Eneco was the first utility company in the world to receive the Climate Saver acknowledgement by the World Wildlife Fund.

Offshore Wind Installation and Maintenance 2011 is the only event in the Netherlands that focuses solely on installation and maintenance. The conference is combined with an exhibition zone for product displays. The conference is organized by Navingo in association with HME and supported by the IRO.

Conference sessions will zoom in on port and vessel requirements for the offshore wind installation and maintenance supply chain, the financing of wind projects and the offshore electricity grid.
