Pacifico Energy has received a sea survey licence from Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for the development of the up to 1.3 GW Nam Trung Bo 3 offshore wind project in Lam Dong Province.
The project is included in Vietnam’s Adjusted Power Development Plan VIII, which places its expected commercial operation between 2031 and 2035. The licence allows Pacifico Energy to carry out technical and environmental studies across the approved offshore area and prepare the project’s design basis and subsequent investment and permitting steps.
Pacifico Energy plans to carry out preliminary desktop assessments before developing a detailed survey campaign for field activities in 2027, which is expected to include geotechnical and geophysical surveys, wind measurements, meteorological and oceanographic studies, environmental baseline surveys and other site assessments.
Nam Trung Bo 3 brings Pacifico Energy’s offshore wind pipeline in Vietnam to 1.8 GW. In February 2026, the company received a sea survey licence for the 500 MW Nam Bo PE2.1 offshore wind project in Ho Chi Minh City.

Pacifico Energy is also developing three projects as part of the 3.2 GW Jindo Offshore Wind Project Cluster in South Korea. The cluster comprises the 420 MW Myeong Ryang, the 990 MW Manho and the 1.8 GW Jindo Baram project.
At the beginning of this month, Pacifico Energy Korea submitted an investment declaration worth over USD 1 billion (around EUR 861 million) to South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR) for the cluster's Manho and Jindo Baram offshore wind projects, following a 2024 declaration covering the Myeong Ryang project.
