The installation of Vestas V236-15.0 MW wind turbines at the Inch Cape project site offshore Scotland has started, with Cadeler's wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) Wind Mover deployed for the campaign.
Wind Mover arrived at the Inch Cape site on 30 October, according to the vessel's AIS data available online.
According to the latest Notice to Mariners from the project, issued on 27 October, the WTIV will first enter the Inch Cape site and jack up in a safe haven position before going to the Port of Dundee for component load-out.
Acta Marine's service operations vessel (SOV) Acta Hercules will be deployed for wind turbine commissioning activities, with operations supported by the crew transfer vessels (CTVs) NOS Exceller and NOS Empowerer.
Wind turbine installation and commissioning work at Inch Cape will continue until September 2027.
The offshore wind farm will feature 72 Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbines installed on a combination of 54 monopile foundations and 18 jacket foundations. All monopile foundations have been installed, with the installation of jacket foundations underway.
The 1.1 GW Inch Cape, located approximately 15 kilometres off the Angus coast, is expected to produce first power in late 2026 and enter full commercial operation in 2027.
