Half of the 62 jacket foundations have been installed at the Dieppe-Le-Tréport offshore wind project site in France.
The first wind turbine foundation was installed at the project site, located 15 kilometres off the city of Le Tréport and 17 kilometres off the city of Dieppe, by DEME’s installation vessel Innovation in September 2025.
By February this year, twelve jackets were in place, with 20 new foundations added since then, according to Ocean Winds, which owns the 496 MW project in a joint venture with Sumitomo Corporation and Banque des Territoires.
The jacket foundations are being delivered by a consortium of Navantia Seanergies and Windar Renovables from their facilities in Spain. The four-legged jackets were manufactured at Navantia Seanergies factory in Fene, while the pin piles were produced by Windar Renovables in Avilés.
Navantia also built the jacket for the project’s offshore substation, which was installed at the site in 2025.
The 496 MW Dieppe-Le-Tréport offshore wind farm will feature 62 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines. The wind turbines are being produced by Siemens Gamesa in its Le Havre facility and will be installed by Jan de Nul Group during 2026, according to information about the project shared earlier.
