CASC has signed a framework agreement with Siemens Gamesa that will see the Northern Ireland-based engineering company working on offshore wind turbine preassembly projects worldwide.
In August, CASC secured a contract with Siemens Gamesa for quayside mobilisation for wind turbine pre-assembly work for the Sofia offshore wind farm in the UK. Under this contract, the company is providing detailed planning and advanced engineering in the execution of the electrical, mechanical and civil works required to mobilise the site at the Alexandra Dock in Hull for the wind turbine installation phase.
On 11 September, Northern Ireland’s Economy Minister Conor Murphy announced CASC secured contracts worth more than GBP 10 million (approximately EUR 11.8 million) with Siemens Gamesa and blade mould manufacturer Dencam Composites.
The scope includes the delivery of a range of products and services on preassembly sites and manufacturing facilities in the UK, EU, the US and Asia for Siemens Gamesa and Dencam Composites.
CASC also revealed it would establish new offices in Korea, Taiwan, and the east coast of the US.

“Since setting up in 2014, we have taken our locally developed skills across the globe. We have been successfully operating throughout the EU, Asia and the USA and are in the process of cementing our position in those markets with permanent offices in Korea, Taiwan and east coast of America.”
