The scope of services encompasses a comprehensive multi-scope package of resources, including a range of inspection, maintenance, and repair services, SMC said.

The BoP contract follows a turnkey Marine Coordination contract that SMC was awarded in April 2021 to support construction and commissioning operations across the Seagreen offshore wind farm.

21 out of the 114 Vestas V164-10.0 MW wind turbines were installed by April 2022 at the offshore wind farm while the first turbine was installed in early December last year.

Scotland’s largest and the world’s deepest fixed-bottom offshore wind farm is a joint venture between SSE Renewables (49 per cent) and TotalEnergies (51 per cent).

Seagreen offshore wind farm is located approximately 17.5 nautical miles (about 32 kilometres) southeast of the Port of Montrose, where the project’s Marine Coordination Centre (MMC) is located for both construction and operations and maintenance (O&M).
