German energy company EnBW has selected the compatriot offshore foundations manufacturer, Steelwind Nordenham, to fabricate and deliver the monopiles for the 900 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm.
He Dreiht is located within the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the North Sea, about 85 kilometres north of the Borkum Island and 95 kilometres west of the Helgoland Island.
The wind farm will comprise Vestas V236-15.0 MW wind turbines installed on monopile foundations.
The turbine installation is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2025, and the full commissioning of the wind farm is anticipated in the fourth quarter of the same year.
Heerema Marine Contractors is in charge of transporting and installing the 64 monopile foundations at He Dreiht.
German engineering company Jörss — Blunck — Ordemann GmbH was selected to provide a detailed design of the monopile foundations.
