Chinese Offshore Wind Farm Starts Delivering

The 300 MW Zhuhai Jinwan offshore wind farm has entered the trial operation stage after the first MySE5.5MW wind turbines came online, MingYang Smart Energy said.

In total, MingYang will deliver 55 MySE5.5MW units for the project, with the delivery now ”well on track”, the turbine maker said.

The first wind turbine was installed at the site located off the southern part of Sanzao Island, Zhuhai City, in early May.

The installation area covers around 44.5 square kilometres with water depth ranging from 11 to 21 metres.

Zhuhai Jinwan is the largest offshore wind farm in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The project is being developed by Guangdong Yudean Zhuhai Offshore Wind Power, a subsidiary of Guangdong Wind Power.
