Located in Vlissingen-Buitenhaven at the North Sea Port, the 2,100m2 facility will provide employment to 50-100 persons.

All construction work and maintenance will be coordinated from the new base.

The Vlissingen-based Cordeel was tasked with constructing the O&M base.

Scheduled to be operational by the end of the year, the 752MW Borssele 1 + 2 wind farm will comprise 94 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines located 22 kilometres from the coast of the Dutch province of Zeeland.

Offshore construction at the site started earlier this month with the installation of the first monopile foundations.
