MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has launched a suite of next-generation SMART tools to enhance design assessments, turbine monitoring, and real-time decision-making.
The portfolio of four products aims to improve MHI Vestas customers’ business case not only in the design phase but also operations and maintenance.

We know that our customers require world-class production and operation of the turbine in every area. This product portfolio addresses their most critical business needs and gives them an unprecedented level of visibility and control.”
The portfolio consists of SMART Foundation Loads software package which will allow MHI Vestas customers to perform integrated load design simulations prior to undertaking detailed load assessments; SMART Dampers which reduce fatigue and design loads by reducing the side-to-side and fore-aft movements of the tower; SMART Fast Data which allows data frequency to be received 600 times faster than traditional SCADA methods; and SMART Performance Monitor which feeds real-time information on turbine performance, site production, and operational metrics to any mobile device.
The product announcement comes as MHI Vestas, now under the leadership of new CEO Philippe Kavafyan, is taking its turbine offerings global, recently announcing its expansion into the Taiwan offshore wind market .
