Seajacks Scylla, which made its maiden call to the Port of IJmuiden on 14 March, is readying for her first job at Veja Mate offshore wind farm in Germany.

At the port, the vessel was equipped with a monopile gripper, so it can install the 67 foundations for the German 402MW project.

The Port of IJmuiden (Zeehaven IJmuiden) has already served as the home base for offshore wind farms such as Offshore Windpark Egmond aan Zee, Prinses Amaliapark and Luchterduinen.
