ASV Pioneer, an accommodation barge managed by Dalby Offshore, is on its way to Northern Germany to carry out cable repair work for a major German client, the company reported, leaving the new client unnamed.

The vessel has undergone refit in Gdansk in Poland at the end of 2015, after completing cable remediation work on behalf of Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke GmbH at the Baltic 2 offshore wind farm, and will be at the new job until April 2016.

The ASV Pioneer mobilised from the UK in February 2015 to assist with cable works on the Baltic 2 offshore wind farm, which was put into operation in September 2015. EnBW’s offshore wind farm, located 32km to the north of the German island of Rügen, has a total capacity of 288MW.
