Eneco announced this morning that the last wind turbine had been installed at its Luchterduinen offshore wind farm.
Van Oord’s Aeolus finished installing the 43rd turbine around 3 am this morning, only 2 months after the first one was erected at the offshore wind site located 23 kilometers off the coast of Noordwijk and Zandvoort.
Comprising 43 Vestas’ V112-3.0 MW offshore turbines, the 129MW wind farm will be able to produce enough clean electricity for nearly 150,000 households.
Eneco Luchterduinen is scheduled to be operational by the end of this year.
