Within a few days of Njord Odin arriving in Rotterdam, the BMT-designed vessel was set to work at the Meerwind offshore wind farm in Germany.
Njord Odin is the first of up to eight new vessels for Njord Offshore, built by Strategic Marine. The second vessel has completed trials and the next two vessels are nearing completion.
Similarly, Largo, the Opus-operated vessel build by Piriou entered service in Heligoland, and was recently joined by a sister vessel Ocean Wind 8 of Hartlepool, operated by Wind Crew Workboats.
