Future Energy Engineering Ltd, specialist provider of engineering services to the offshore renewables, subsea and oil & gas industries, has moved to new premises in the Blyth Estuary Renewable Enterprise Zone (BEREZ), Northumberland.

The Brunel Building, Blyth, part of the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult’s site, provides a base for the growing company, which has provided consultancy services from various locations worldwide, since establishing in 2011.

Future Energy evaluated numerous locations within the North East region and ultimately selected the Blyth enterprise zone. The area of the North East connects the company to neighbouring businesses such as the ORE Catapult (formerly Narec), the UK’s flagship technology innovation and research centre for offshore wind, wave and tidal energy; and others working within the renewable energy sector.

The continued expansion of Future Energy Engineering is due in part to the company’s success in securing a grant from ARCH – The Northumberland Development Company’s Northumberland Business Support Fund, which has resulted in the employment of a new engineer and administrative staff in response to the growing demand for its services.
