Chinese company, Ming Yang Wind Power has installed super compact drive (SCD) 6.5WM wind turbine at Longyuan Rudong Intertidal Wind Farm in Jiangsu province.
Zhenhua Heavy’s construction vessel carried out the installation in calm weather.
Longyuan Rudong wind farm is used as a testing ground for 9 domestic manufacturers where they will test their turbines.
The SCD 6.5MW wind turbine features two-blade design with lightweight permanent magnet generator adapted to China typhoon weather conditions.
Furthermore, Mong Yang completed the wind turbine last year in July designed mainly for offshore operations.
