Maersk Training has appointed Stuart Cameron as UK Managing Director.

Mr. Cameron, who was previously managing Maersk Training in Newcastle, will now oversee both UK training centres in Aberdeen and Newcastle, and will be responsible for driving further the company’s expansion plans in the growing UK Oil & Gas, Maritime and Offshore Wind sectors.

Stuart Cameron brings almost 20 years of experience in renewables, construction and industrial support services. Prior to joining Maersk Training, he was head of global sales and marketing at Romax Technology, a leading provider of advanced simulation technologies, design expertise and consulting services for gearbox and driveline systems.

“The number of trainees at the Newcastle training centre increased tenfold under Cameron’s stewardship. We are convinced that Stuart will bring this success into all our UK operations.” said Claus Bihl, CEO of Maersk Training .

Stuart Cameron commented: “I am excited by the new challenges and opportunities lying ahead of us. Maersk Training has been very successful in the UK, and we are now looking at expanding our presence across the UK, in order to service the growing offshore and energy markets.”

“Maersk Training strives to provide an unrivalled regional training solution with centres close to our client’s home locations, which will help to substantially reduce costs associated with travel and accommodation. A greener solution for a greener industry,” Stuart Cameron concluded.
