Further Rotor Blades Delivered for Nordsee Ost OWF (Germany)

Further rotor blades have been delivered for the construction of the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm.

Last week saw a further delivery of rotor blades to Bremerhaven. Eventually, the blades will drive the wind turbines of the offshore wind farm Nordsee Ost, which is currently under construction around 30 kilometers to the north-east of the island of Heligoland in the German North See region.

Each of the rotor blades measures over 60 meters and weighs over 23 tons, which is equivalent to the weight of almost six grown elephants. In total, 144 of these giants are needed for the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm.
