The contract for Engineering Office to support Elia Asset NV in the design, development and realization of the Artificial Island, called Alpha, part of the Belgian Offshore Grid (BOG), in the North Sea has been awarded to IMDC .
The Belgian Offshore Grid (BOG) consists of 2 OHVS platforms and the necessary submarine interconnection cables to bring the offshore wind energy to the onshore electrical grid in Zeebrugge. IMDC will evaluate different options for the construction of such island and prepare a reference design and tender documents.
Finally, the company will assist Elia with selecting a proper contractor for these challenging marine works.
