ZephIR Lidar has conducted the world’s first simultaneous measurements taken upwind and downwind of a wind turbine for the Technical University of Denmark, Wind Energy department, formerly known as Risø DTU.
The deployment was videoed by Micro Quadcopter, here showing a standard ZephIR Dual Mode at the front of the turbine and a modified ZephIR Dual Mode with additional shield at the aft of the turbine which is being utilised by DTU Wind Energy for further research projects.
