G&W Electric announced that they will be exhibiting at AWEA WINDPOWER 2013 in Chicago May 5-8 at Booth 4109.
G&W Electric has been a global supplier of electric power equipment since 1905. Based in Bolingbrook, IL, G&W has been supplying switches to the wind industry since 1995.
To date, G&W products are protecting over 4000MW of wind energy on over 70 wind farms. G&W products include: tower mounted and pad mounted switches, reclosers, sectionalizing cabinets, and current limiting products. These products are engineered to order and built to last.
G&W switches offer 38kV, 630A continuous, and fault interrupting up to 25kA. Switches are maintenance free, weatherproof and can be used in submersible applications, +50°c to -40°c, IEEE rated, along with CSA approvals.
The company will exhibit their tower mounted wind switch submersed in an aquarium of water at their booth.
