In 2012, Maersk Training Newcastle was given an overwhelming thumbs-up to run its basic safety training course after an independent auditor from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) visited Maersk’s state-of-the-art training facilities in North Shields. Maersk Training Newcastle became the UK’s first – and one of only a handful around the world – to be given the go ahead to run courses approved by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) .
